Ms Mpye is a former trainee accountant at Barloworld Limited’s Motor Retail Division. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she was appointed as a Financial Manager for Toyota and Lexus Centurion for two years. She then joined Club Motors Randburg and Club Motors Fountains Approved BMW Repair Centre for two years. Ms Mpye was also a Group Financial Manager and later a Finance Executive at Kwikspace Modular Buildings.
For the last three years, Ms Mpye has been running Mpye Consulting, a financial management firm that provides a range of services. These include: financial policies and internal controls; preparing Audited Financial Statements; turnaround strategies; company registrations; company secretarial services; HR services; tax and other related services.
As a Non-Executive Director at PRASA, Mpye chairs the Audit and Risk Committee and sits on various sub-committees. She also serves as a Finance Executive at SEBVIL.
