SMMEs talk business, ZULULAND OBSERVER (Weekend)
LOCAL, Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises(SMME) converged in their numbers at the Suppliers Development Workshop on Friday. Held at the Umfolozi Casino Resort, and hosted by Mhlathuze Water, the aim of the workshops was to empower SMMEs by identifying the challenges they face and finding workable solutions with help and advice from experienced stakeholders. 'As large enterprises have restructured and downsized, small, medium and micro enterprises have come to play an increasingly important role in South Africa's economy and development,' said Chief Financial Officer Mhlathuze Water, Brian Ndaba. 'The importance of prioritising entrepreneurship and the advancement of SMMEs has been identified as the catalyst to achieving economic sustainability.'
