Promoting small business ventures,MERCURY, Network
This year priority must be given to the development of stable small businesses if the economy in Durban is to keep up with urbanisation and the resultant unemployment in the region, says deputy mayor Nomvuso Shabalala.
As head of the eThekwini Municipality's economic development and planning committee, Shabalala told graduates from the Bosch Holdings illwazi training programme recently that the development of small business was now a key focus in the metro.
