President Jacob Zuma has re-appointed Pravin Gordhan as Finance Minister. David van Rooyen has taken over the Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs portfolio just days after his appointment. Zuma removed van Rooyen from his portfolio Sunday night. Van Rooyen took over from Nhlanhla Nene last Wednesday. But his appointment was met with fierce criticism from within government, business, opposition parties and even some within the African National Congress.
