NEF invites aspirant business owners, PHALABORWA HERALD
Leading empowerment funder, the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) is inviting aspirant business owners in the province to apply for funding. The Limpopo Province has been identified by the NEF as one of the priority regions that it wishes to expand its entrepreneur funding and is calling on aspirant business owners to seize the opportunity to fund their business goals. NEF Divisional Executive for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and Rural and Community Development, Setlakalane Molepo says the developmental financier wants to increase awareness of its products and benefit in the province, from the current R950 million funding that has been made available from R250 000 to R75million. He says, over the last nine years the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) has disbursed nearly R5,5 billion to fund 549 businesses. The investment has supported over 47 000 jobs and the NEF's Strategic Projects Fund (SPF) which is mainly focused on green fields opportunities is expected to create at least 8o 000 jobs.
