In 2008 the BEE winery reached out to government and they were supported by being offered a piece of land in the Stellenbosch winelands where they are now busy developing their farm. They are halfway through the building of a casing room, and last year started planting some of their own vines. They have also done a viability study in the hopes of sometime building their own cellar.
“We want to open a restaurant on the farm and the sisters can run that and cook the food that our mother used to cook for us. We want to bring families here, to encourage them to come together and share happiness around a glass of wine,” she says.
