“There's more money chasing good ideas than there are good ideas chasing money,” commented Raiz. He points out that, internationally, entrepreneurs are more likely to make second or third attempts at starting a business, whereas in South Africa, many will fail once and are not prepared to try again. He says that, internationally, the re-entry average is between 3% and 7%, whereas in SA this is nearer 1%. “South Africans need to change their attitude toward failure – I have failed many times over and yet have come back time and time again.”
