At a recent panel discussion on the challenges of finding finance for your business, a common complaint among the four major banks is that people do not realise there are many more ways to get finance than just from a bank. Sometimes a bank may not be the best option or the terms may not be the most favourable for your needs. When finding finance, consider every option available. This is often the first attempt for many business owners, yet one of the most difficult to get approval for because it requires security, large working capital, proof of business viability and have inflexible terms. Businesses that meet these terms are often the ones that do not need finance.
