FUNDING 'for the Co-operative Incentive Scheme would be increased to improve co-ops' access to the support needed to develop their businesses, Deputy Trade and Industry Minister Elizabeth Thabethe said yesterday. Ms Thabethe told the launch of the South African chapter of the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives yesterday that assistance to co-ops included increasing ; market access, particularly in rural communities and small towns, as part of strengthening local government economic development strategies.
