CALL FOR LOTTO BIDS WITH DEEP POCKETS, SOWETAN, Business
PROSPECTIVE bidders with shallow pockets need not bother applying. And to those wanting to lay claim to possibly one of the biggest state contracts awarded to date, make sure your pockets are able to plunge to a depth never thought of before. This was the crux of the message by the National Lotteries Board (NLB) chairman Professor Alfred Nevhutanda. Nevhutanda yesterday hosted a media breakfast in Rosebank,Johannesburg, where he announced requests for proposals (RFPs) from prospective bidders hoping to become the next operator of South Africa's national lottery in June 2015. The winning bid will be announced by Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies in August next year, bringing an end to current operator Gidani's tenure.
