Bagatla tribe gives R5m to empowerment fund, The New Age
THE Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela Traditional Authority has committed R5m towards the National Empowerment Fund enterprise development fund partnership aimed at benefiting existing and aspiring entrepreneurs in the North West. Chief Kgosi Nyalala MJ Pilane said, “It has been our primary objective to promote socioeconomic development through result-driven programmes, job creation, entrepreneurship, health facilities and education within the Bakgatla region, thus this partnership will contribute in part to our master plan and also allow the NEF to implement its mandate in our community.” The enterprise development fund will be utilised exclusively by the NEF in consultation with the tribal authority to invest in beneficiaries from the Bakgatla communities.
