SOUTH Africa and Africa should partner with its fellow BRICS members to benefit from opportunities in infrastructural development and industrialisation, National Empowerment Fund (NEF) CEO Philisiwe Mthethwa said. During opening day discussions, Mthethwa invited BRICS member countries to partner with South Africa specifically and Africa generally in its infrastructural development and industrialisation. This was in line with the pledge made at the 2011 summit in Sanya, China, where BRICS leaders pledged their commitment to Africa's industrialisation.
