N a bid to further stimulate local economic growth, eThelcwini Municipality hosted the Women in Business Seminar where over 300 women were left highly motivated after various speakers presented business opportunities. The seminar was held at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre on 31 August, focusing on how to advance women participation in business in order for them to make a meaningful contribution to the economy. From 2011 todate, the Municipality has empowered more than 6000 women through various skills development programmes, training and networking sessions. Big retail stores representatives from Boxer and CocaCola outlined how to access retail markets and supplier development.
