The state of entreneurship, DESTINY MAN
SA's National Development Plan (NDP) aims to eliminate poverty and reduce inequality by 2030 – still some 17 years off. Long before that, though, we have a general election in less than a year's time, while the ruling party's report card shows many areas in which it's failed dismally – notably in kickstarting entrepreneurship. Although President Jacob Zuma and others in his Cabinet have acknowledged the fact that SA's economy requires intensive investment in entrepreneurship as a means to create employment and strengthen our economy, not enough has been done to create real momentum in this sector.
