Kudos for Holiday Inn, Ecr.co.za – East Coast Radio
Holiday Inn has bagged its third consecutive Icon Brand Award in the 'Hotel of the Year' category. The awards aim to praise and benchmark brands that have excelled over time and remain relevant to the country's multi-cultural population. Winners are identified through face-to-face interviews with consumers. Holiday Inn operates more than 1 300 hotels worldwide, including several in KwaZulu-Natal.
FM Crushers gets multi-million Rand injection
The National Empowerment Fund has invested R15-million in FM Crushers – near Jozini in Northern KZN. The fund, which aims to promote BEE participation in South Africa, is hopeful the financial injection will help create jobs and grow economic activity in the Umkhanyakude District. FM Crushers is a small, emerging rural enterprise that supplies G4 sub-base crushed stone to road construction companies. The company holds a R70-million order to supply over 300 000 tons of G4 material to the KZN Department of Transport over the next three-years.
