In a letter in Daily Sun on Monday, Chesley Mnisi makes an incorrect assertion about black entrepreneurs. He evokes the Brand South Africa pay-off line “alive with possibilities” to question the availability of opportunities for growing entrepreneurship. He .argues the opposite is the case – opportunities don't exist. The developmental financial institutions that Mnisi confidently yet blindly castigates have an unsurpassed record of accomplishment to demonstrate their continued success. He accuses the National Empowerment Fund, which prides itself as a “fonder with a soul”, of having given R34 million to one person as opposed to distributing it to a number of entrepreneurs.
